does anyone have recs for fiction in a solarpunky setting that isn't depressing? especially small scale dramas: mystery, romance, slice of life-y

@maya (this feels like such an obvious suggestion but..) have you read Sunvault: Stories of Solarpunk and Eco-Speculation?

@cblgh I have not! Is it good? Assume I know very little, I've read some manifestoey type stuff, and I just want to get my head in the headspace through some speculative fiction that isn't *too* hard-focused on the world-building aspect

@maya yes! i felt it was pretty spot-on to your initial request (consisting of short stories on most of the topics you mentioned) , so i was assuming you had already read it haha! Walkaway by Cory Doctorow is quite good too, though longish. ditto The Dispossessed by Ursula K. Le Guin, which is good for so, so many reasons (tho first chapter or so might be hard to get through, kinda typical of Le Guin imo :)

@cblgh I don't know why, but I find doctorow's prose a real quick read, so that's absolutely gonna be second on the list :)
